      Naadam Festival 1st day

After breakfast, we will head to watch the opening ceremony of Naadam, a significant celebration for us. Every July, cities and villages across the country celebrate this festival in a traditional manner that has been passed down for thousands of years. It’s a holiday for everyone and a peak travel time. Naadam features events such as archery, wrestling, and horse racing. On the first day, we’ll enjoy the opening ceremony and witness the wrestling matches. Tickets sell out quickly, attracting many tourists to the stadium, and even locals often miss the chance to purchase them.

      Naadam 2nd day

Today, we continue our celebration of Naadam by attending the horse races. Horses hold a special significance in every Mongolian family, and many urban families even own horses for racing. The races feature different age categories. One of the most enjoyable aspects of Naadam is the huushuur, a popular dish that everyone looks forward to during the season. Afterward, we will journey to Tsonjin Boldog, the iconic statue of Genghis Khan, a monument honoring Mongolia’s legendary leader. Take a moment to marvel at the grandeur of this historic figure before we return to the ger camp.

      Terelj

Today, we will immerse ourselves in the stunning and untamed natural landscape. It’s an exciting day as you’ll have the opportunity to ride a horse, with local coaches teaching you how to do so. After exploring the beautiful surroundings on horseback, we’ll visit a local family to gain insight into their nomadic lifestyle. Nomads traditionally live in gers and have their own unique philosophy on life. If you’re interested, you’ll have the chance to meet a shaman who can answer questions you may have been pondering for a long time. Prepare to be truly impressed!
